Dogs being dogs on the farm - August 2024
Eria has learnt how to find snares set out for wildlife and to alert on them - as you can see she is very pleased with herself
Search & Rescue training keeps the dogs busy

Drake - a qualified wilderness search and rescue dog is adding find HR (human remains) to his skill set and focussing on water edge searches.
Alyxia, Ione and Hedraian are learning to be water dogs. Searching for drowned people from a boat and searching water edge on foot. During training we are doing a fair amount of dry searches to hone their skills.
Hedraian is also doing some man trailing.

For fun all seven dogs are working their way through the KUSA Trick Dog program - Tili, Cali, Drake, Eria, Hedraian, Ione and Alyxia - I am their biggest handicap.

Haple and Huxley from the H-litter went to sheep training. Both showed good working instinct and promise as working dogs

Huxley
Drake & Eria have spent lock down learning to detect and indicate aviation fuel. Drake works Avgas and Jet A1 while Eria works just Jet A1. They need to find the fuel source on various substrates and of various ages.
Drake is not just a pretty face, he passed his BH test on 22-3-20
